Attendees at the 2008 IACP Conference, Rhythm on the Plate, bid on 79 Silent Auction items generously donated by members raising $18,840 for The Culinary Trust scholarships, grants and preservation efforts. A special thank you to the Southern Food and Beverage Museum for providing display of menus for the event. A portion of the live auction proceeds benefited the Menu Project, an initiative by the New Orleans Southern Food and Beverage Museum to collect and catalogue current menus from every restaurant in the South (as well as menus from the past) to create a searchable database of the region’s culinary heritage.
